The Recording booth is a sound-proof Whisperroom booth that you can use to record audio tracks for videos, podcasts, etc.
Equipment: Shure microphone connected to a Macintosh computer with Quicktime and Audacity installed.
Capacity: 1-2 people
We recommend working in pairs, with one person controlling the computer and the other person recording the audio track(s). If you are claustrophobic, we recommend that you be the person controlling the computer. You can use the equipment alone, but you would then need to begin the recording on the computer before entering the sound-proof booth.
Availability: Anyone in the campus community can reserve the Audio Recording Booth online, available during library open hours. You can retrieve the key from the Bertrand Library Circulation Desk.
