BU Film Club | Spring Weekend Film Challenge

The Bucknell Film Club + Library & IT sponsored a weekend film challenge in April of 2024 where participants recieved a prop at the start of the event, and then had the weekend to create a short <5 min film that was judged for prizes and screened at an event on campus!

The film challenge began on Friday April 5th @ 5pm, and teams came to the library to be issued a prop that had to be included in their short, in addition, teams had to also include a scene in or just outside of the library within their final short film.
Each team had the weekend to write, film, edit and submit their final film by 11:59pm on Sunday April 7th- which was approximately ~55 hrs to complete a short film! Final films were screened at a showcase event on April 24th in the East Reading Room. Judges and an assortment of prizes were awarded, including a top prize of a gift card for $100. A playlist of the screenings is included below.
