Announcing the inaugural Bertrand Book Club, a faculty reading group focused on the book The Opposite of Cheating: Teaching for Integrity in the Age of AI. This book club is a collaborative effort between Library Services staff, the Dominguez Center for Data Science, and Perusall.

The Opposite of Cheating by Tricia Bertram Gallant and David A. Rettinger offers a new perspective on academic integrity in the age of generative AI. Instead of focusing on how to prevent cheating, the book provides practical, empathetic, and research-backed strategies for faculty to support learning. It encourages a shift from policing academic integrity to fostering a positive learning environment and strengthening human interactions in education.
