McDonough Speaks on “Maps as Data”

On March 20, 2024, Dr. Katherine McDonough (Lancaster University) presented a talk entitled “Maps as Data” as part of our Bucknell Digital Scholarship Conversations series.

Dr. McDonough  described her work with the ‘Living with Machines’ and ‘Machines Reading Maps’ projects and explored “the design of our data creation methods, how open and reproducible digital research can support humanistic inquiry, and why these approaches allow us to not only understand, but analyze, maps in new ways.”

Dr. McDonough’s talk was live-streamed and recorded.
